Just 15 more minutes and one less Chelsea player and Brighton may have nicked that

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

And breathe...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Can someone explain those last 5 minutes to me?

Ball hits defender square in the face and goes out. VAR check handball. Recommend drop ball. Goal kick given.

Where is the corner? Why use the furthest camera in the stadium to check for handball? Why are Colwill and Sanchez getting into a scrap with their old teams?

What?

Following the BBC Sport minute by minute has shaved a few years off.

Best refereeing performance

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It wasn't a corner because the ref called for a penalty before the ball went out of play. That got overturned, so they gave a drop ball - even though the ball would have obviously gone out of play, the game stopped when the ref blew the whistle.

If you don't like chaos that gives you a heart attack, you don't like Chelsea football

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That shit Milner pulled against Broja was fucked up. Could’ve seriously injured him and referees just continue to ignore it. If any one has a replay I’d love to see it again, broja nearly folded half

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

de zerbi probably dislikes 95% of refs now

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Chelsea is going to have to find some midfielders to put on their bench for yellow card management purposes.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Step 1: Complain you don't like 75% of the league refs.

Step 2: Decisions go against your team.

Step 3: Act shocked?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Milner should've been off twice lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

VAR: bro come look at how hard this rocks him in the face.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

No normal games. Every official involved in this game, whether on the pitch or in VAR has had an absolute mare.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What the fuck was that VAR drop ball in the end?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Even if it was a decision that went in our favour, it's a worrying show of how incompetent VAR and the PGMOL is

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Great performance in the second half

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

what the in mother nature was that ending

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Another great advertisement for the quality of referees in England

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

PL refs are an absolute joke

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Never seen anything like it since the Tottenham game, officials doing their best to give the opposition a win, giving a corner for a shot that is miles wide we concede from, no red for Milner, then the most obvious head of all time sent for a review. Why is VAR so fucked for Chelsea and Wolves

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That was the most farcical bit of football I’ve ever seen at the end there. Absolute clown show.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That was egregious refereeing at the end but we fought hard here. Sanchez and Enzo were absolutely fantastic.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That was way harder fought than it needed to be, especially in a period where we have 3 games in just over a week. Still, hanging in there should be big for developing some of the players' mentality, especially after last week.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Quite the show for neutrals.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It was clearly off the players face, unsure what the ref saw there.....

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Plucky midtable team holds on for a win with 10 men against wasteful top 6 team with Barcelona's former #10 in their ranks

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Again this shows its not the system, it's the morons using it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That was horrid for my heart health

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Great back and forth game. Caicedo should’ve been off but I think the Mudryk pen was the right call

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

How the fuck can you use more than 10 seconds checking that «handball»? Fucking insanity

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What a mess

Chelsea is comedy pure.
Nearly bottled a 2-0 lead

Officials are shit

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

VAR and the field officials were absolutely shocking. I have no idea what the fuck just happened

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I'm actually so confused right now...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

The VAR confiscated the Brighton corner. LOL.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Brighton robbed of a corner at the end

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Most competent Premier League referees.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What an end to the game!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What a shitshow

VAR called the ref over for an onfield review when it clearly hit Levi's head

They then gave a freekick to Chelsea when we should have had a corner

Caicedo should have been sent off

What the fuck is this

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Seems fucked they didn't get the corner, but it was correct by the law and probably karma for trying to get a pen when it went off his head. Ref was working to keep Brighton in. To be fair so was chelsea.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

today is absolutely disaster class by referee

so almost any other day really

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

For me, the only real controversial call in the game was Caicedo not getting a second yellow for completely studding a Brighton player and going through him from behind a minute before the penalty call.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

How did Brighton not get a corner at the end after the VAR review?

Edit: People have explained in the replies how it is the correct call according to the rules, but if the ball clearly goes out immediately and no one had the opportunity to stop it had the foul not been called, I feel like the rule should be to give the corner. (I’m not a Brighton fan either)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Why the fuck were 10 mins added to this game???

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Ref & Var ball. What a shit show

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That VAR no penalty = no corner situation was complete bullshit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Is it really a chelsea game if neither side feels exhausted and stressed by the end?
