Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven

We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.

Community Rules:

~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

To quote someone who put it far better than I could ever have.

See, getting a compliment from someone of the same sex is like getting a huge bag of money from a foreign country. You can't use it in your day to day life. You don't even consider ever visiting it. But sure is a good thing to know that if you ever go there, you'll be a highly prized individual.

Getting a compliment is always good.

I am just happy to know when someone finds me attractive, straight, gay or other.

That surprised me the first time I (cishet, a teenager at the time) was hit on by another guy. I was flattered much more than I was weirded out. I wouldn’t have expected that reaction.

He was a nice guy. I hope he found someone.

This.

I was flattered...as well as glad that at least once that night, even if the guy was gonna get shot down, he wouldn't be given a rough time about it.

It hadn't occurred to me until then what a minefield the single bar scene must be for a gay person, and of course right on the heels of that, my sudden understanding of why gay bars were such a big thing.

I'm not very bright, but I am very oblivious!

I'd warn any galpals I've got to stay away from this guy who just admitted he thinks it's normal for men to automatically begin harassing people of the gender(s) they are attracted to.

I'd love for anyone to hit on me. I'm not picky.

hey there wondercock, how's those handsome testicles?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

I'm glad you noticed. I just had them polished.

I don't know, I always like being flirted with for long enough that any sex realizes I'm a walking disaster. Makes the suffering special.

To be faiiiir, his human form is super sexy imo.

Weird, literally watching this show for the first time today

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You're in for a treat. Aubrey Plaza deserved an Emmy.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

She's great so far. The blonde girl who plays Syd is pretty terrible though, hope her character/acting gets better.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

She's a little stiff but I think that's part of her character. How far in are you?

Fantastic is still an understatement.

I like to compliment nice not good looking straight men, I love to see them smiling.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

I don't care if you're gay, please hit on me.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

As a straight dude I always feel flattered

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

I am not gay, but hey a compliment is a compliment

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This guy will hit on you, if you promise to wipe his ass for him.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"Nosey, have I ever told you what a talented musician you are?"

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

"Twelve milkmen is theoretically possible."

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

I didn't give you permission to use my pictures! But fr I'd just be happy someone hit on me.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Depends on the situation of course, but I’d likely not be able to tell I was being hit on to begin with.

That's no straight dude, that's a homophobic dude if it happens unprompted.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They're not mutually exclusive.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

True, not exclusive at all.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Then whats the point of your comment, exactly?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

What it says. If someone tells you unprompted not to hit on them, they assume gay men jump on everyone else unless they opt out first, which is homophobic.
