That's an odd thing to do considering one of the reasons it's speculated they launched the Oct 7 attack was because Saudi Arabia was about to recognize them.

Iirc the deal they had with israel was that they would not kill hamas leaders in qatar. I imagine that now they have reasons to be afraid.
