Welcome Lemmings and Reddit refugees! I'm /u/Rathernott on reddit, one of the moderators of r/LinuxHardware and now armed with a swanky new username that doesn't suck.

@[email protected] Has graciously allowed this instance to become the official lemmy for r/LinuxHardware, and I hope to see some of you cross the border into Lemmyland! ^^

Since they're federated does it make sense to have 1 community on Lemmy and 1 on Kbin? 🤔

The creator of the Kbin instance approached us to make it an official instance while I was discussing making this lemmy instance our official place on the fediverse, so we decided to have them both be official! :D

Edit: I have decided not to continue promoting the Kbin instance.

I just this weekend got new bits for my PC. Ryzen 7 7800X3D, MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK motherboard, MSI 4070 GPU, gskill DDR5-6400 memory.

If anyone reads this, can you please run "sysbench cpu run"? I'm trying to figure out if the score I got is normal.

Hi! Did you have any issue with this motherboard on Linux? I am getting a 7800X3D and I am considering it, but MSI only provides windows drivers.

Yeah it works great, just make sure the ram you buy is in their compatible list.
