Can I block a whole instant? I don't want infinite porn on my all page
Unfortunately not at this time, but it's been a widely requested feature so I hope they add it before long.
Block the user and the community. If you have memmy for iOS you can block the community also
Some apps have it but not the website.
I just read in another post that you can do this in the Connect app, in settings.
Using jerboa, I click on the community and use the block this community function in the three dots option top right of the screen, I suppose it is available to whatever you use to browse lemmy ?
Using memmy you can do the same. Top right corner, click the 3 dots and click Block Community
Voyager (previously named wefwef) recently added this feature too
In the dropdown menu of a post from this community there should be an option to block the whole community.
I'm not seeing it anywhere? I wish there was just a simple "filter" button or the equivalent of RES for Lemmy.

EDIT: In the settings there is a block tab where you can add communities to the block list.

it really should be an option next to any subscribe button, great feed curation is about subtraction as much as addition.
I think you just go to the 3 dots, open the community the post is from and then "block" but I'm new here and having a hard time as well.
I still see posts I saw the day I signed up a week ago, even though they have no user comments or any sort of engagement, even if I've already downvoted (or whatever the term here is). Most of my "all" is stuff I saw days ago and didn't like then either. I have blocked a few places (some more than once, maybe because I am on two different Lemmys?) But it's not going well.
