What is libre culture?

Libre culture is all about empowering people. While the general philosophy stems greatly from the free software movement, libre culture is much broader and encompasses other aspects of culture such as music, movies, food, technology, etc.

Libre culture is a very very broad topic, and while it's perfectly okay for a conversation to stray, I do ask that we keep things generally on topic.

They stole our future. Let's take it back.

Here at the end of the world, it's time to take stock. Is technology a force for good? Can it be? Was it ever? How did we end up with a world made up of "five websites, each filled with screenshots of text from the other four" (h/t Tom Eastman)? Should we worry that machine learning will take away our free will through A/B splitting and Big Five Personality Types? Where the fuck did all these Nazis come from?

Not sure if I'll get an answer here, but what is RC3 exactly? I've heard of RC3 world, but couldn't figure out if it was a social mmo or something else 😅

It's this year's corona edition of the annual Chaos Communication Congress. Since that's such a mouthful it's usually shortened to C3 and prefixed with the edition. Last year's congress was referred to as 36C3, and since this year's edition is remote it's referred to as the rC3.
