I just bought a house that has speakers run to most common rooms. They terminate into a common area in the basement. What should I do to make this actually work? I'd like to be able to airplay / chromecast music... 2 "zones" would be nice, but that is about it.

Do I buy a standard AVR with built in chromecast / airplay and plug them all in or is there a better purpose device? Each room only has one speaker so it would be "mono" in each room?
