I'm really optimistic that Facebook will be broken up and regulated in the coming months and years. Both sides agree that polarization is a massive issue, so having a bipartisan common enemy in Facebook does not bode well for the company.

They will be regulated soon. Probably not broken up, but decently regulated. Once the first law gets passed, there's no stopping 100 more.
Yep too much of it is deliberate, and too many believe it. It is not so much about 'censorship' but more about having proper fact checking or accountability for information being broadcast. The worst is people actually quoting something as their evidence, yet that information has already been proven to be false. That's just messy.

Misinformation is a really hard thing to counter to be honest and I think that it defo shouldn't be in the hands of a central authority to handle misinformation.
i'd be happier if title was "Most terrans agree that misinformation is a problem" instead
