Yes he is. When John married Sean's mother he adopted him.

John Aston married Sean's mother Patty Duke when Sean was less than two years old. He grew up believing that Dezi Arnaz, Jr. (as in, the son of Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnaz!) was his biological father (though he found out later this wasn't the case). He's basically the ultimate nepo baby.
