I see these dead on the beaches of Taiwan. My 5 year old son picked one up and brought it to me and I almost had a heart attack. Luckily he picked it up on a part that didn't have stingers.

You’re thinking of irukandji. Bluebottles will sting like an absolute bastard but you’d have to be pretty unlucky to be killed by one.
