I suggest you pop os (it's the one I use on my systems, for gaming too). The suggestion I can give to you is to don't try random things you find on internet but try to understand what you are doing exactly to your system, and for most of the stuff you don't need to mess around (I never did something "strange" in two years since I fully switched to Linux).

i was out of my depth when i needed x86 support on my x64 system for something, and somewhere along the line i landed in dependency hell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and the first time i just failed installing graphics drivers for an iGPU, but i worked that out later on, so at least i know i am able to learn :-)
i will take a look at it, thanks for the suggestion!
