The Lyrics Game

538 readers
17 users here now

Anybody can post a challenge.

The rules of the game are simple, take any song you like from any genre you want, put the lyrics through any AI [you may weight lyrics as the AI allows] that you want and post the resulting image here under the post title Name That Song [GENRE]. After 48-72 Hours or if the answer is guessed sooner, edit the post's title to [Solved][Genre] and put the song title and artist (and optionally any highlighted lyrics) in a spoiler tag in the body of the post.

Other than that, enjoy.

Here is a list to a few AI image generators you can use.

MODERATORS

Would someone like to step up and write a post that I will make a sticky in the community that contains a list of some AI image generators and instructions on how people can use them to make images for this game. I will be very thankful and even give you the moderator position made vacant by Anissem. I would do this but my current medical status makes that rather difficult."Would someone be willing to write a post that I can make a sticky in the community? The post should contain a list of some AI image generators, along with instructions on how people can use them to create images for this game. If someone steps up to do this, I'd be very grateful and I'm even willing to give you the moderator position that has become vacant since Anissem left. Unfortunately, due to my current medical condition, I'm unable to take on this task myself."

I am too new to this to write the instructions alone, but if people can crowdsource info on ai platforms and any tips/tricks, I'd be happy to format them into instructions.

So far I've only used openart.ai. I keep getting an error message about needing to sign up if I want to use NSFW lyrics, but I can't always figure out which lyrics it's got a problem with.

It also tends to generate images of just a person that has little to do with the song. I've tried playing around with the Prompt Adherence scale with minimal success.

I use local generation using Bifröst, an SDXL finetune model.

What you need:

An nVidia GPU with at least 8GB VRAM (or if you like taking a few minutes, just a system with >16GB RAM and a really fast cpu)

An image generation system:

Automatic1111's Stable Diffusion WebUI

SD-Forge, the modded version of above

ComfyUI, the very modular but capable node-flowchart-based system

All of these are on github

Many GB of storage

An SDXL model

Download the model and the programs, run their installation as listed on their github page, and have at it.

Another more recent option, and the one I use for most of my posts here, is Google ImageFX. It's really high quality while being free, but there are two things to keep in mind:

  • It may not be available in your country; if so, use a VPN.
  • Sometimes it'll refuse to follow prompts with seemingly innocuous words, such as "Panama" or "Robotnik". You can somewhat get around this by rewording the prompt (e.g. "The flag of Panama" --> "The Panamanian flag") or by inserting hyphens or spaces (e.g. "Doctor Robotnik" --> "Doctor Robot-nik").

In addition to image generators you might also include online file compressors. tinypng.com works well. It can be useful if the generator creates larger image files.

guess nobody wants to contribute to the community.
