Excited to see how this community takes off when the season gets underway, it's understandably slow as of now but I have high hopes

this wwc is full of chaos, zero idea who's going to win it

Japan is looking the most consistent at the moment. If they keep playing the way they have, it'll be hard to stop them.

I was convinced it would be Germany, but the pre tournament shakiness is still there

I'm not sure how you were convinced by them, their most recent friendlies weren't convincing at all. Which were proven right by then being eliminated at the group stage by not winning against a very unconvincing S. Korea

Any FPL players here? Could be fun to have a /c/football league running for the new season.

Given how lemmy.world is a bit of a mess right now, is it worth considering moving all the football communities, including this one, over to fanaticus.social? or even setting up our own lemmy.football instance before the season officially kicks off?

One problem with the fediverse is that people hear of a single website like lemmy.world and think that is where everything should be placed. It being .world also makes it sound like a top-level instance, which is the best place to put things.
