From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Looking for solution for problem I have one pair of headphones but I need to hear sound from both of my computers, preferably low latency too.

How can I setup sound server easily, or can I do it somehow with 3.5mm audio jack (I have male to male cable)

Please link guide or post recommended solution name for me to research... Thanks !

hmm, perhaps with jack/netjack: https://jackaudio.org/faq/netjack.html

I have not done this myself though so I cant vouch for how easy it is.

Yes, headphone out from one computer into microphone input on the other and then routing that to the audio output via Jack should work.

I have tried playing with jack audio but without guide I can't figure it out.

No luck getting it working, but thanks qjackctl makes more sense now.

Maybe you can achieve this with Snapcast. The primary use case is actually reversed (one input, many outputs) but you might be able to configure it for what you're going for.
