This sounds a lot more palatable if you just think in terms of overpaid cops bring forced into "donation".

You absolutely cannot go meet them. They are kept in an extremely sterile environment because, in order to be the most appropriate for transplant, their immune systems are turned way down.

The doctor with 7 organs and 7 transplant patients is meant to be a thought experiment highlighting ~~the vast gulf between our moral intuitions and~~how awesome naïve utilitarianism is.
