Back in my day we used to call it the programming disease. I knew a kid that got it and he was put of gym class for like a month.

From the typeface comparison page, the only ones that look acceptable are Fira Code (my favourite) and JetBrains Mono. I'm compelled by ligatures

Perhaps I should spend more time with JetBrains Mono. There's a lot of charm to the lowercase l in that one
