But yeah the last block was by process of elimination. Also the link isn't actually true, given the transliteration of mochi from Japanese. Way too abstract a connection.

Once rendered in the Latin script for use as a word in the English language (a loanword from Japanese, but still a nativised English word), it does indeed fit the category.

But yeah, I definitely didn't get it. Didn't even get close.
