Really liked the first episode so far I'm excited for where this Batman/DCEU is going to go.

I enjoyed it, but I was getting a bit bored by the end. The show needed time to set things up so I don't mind. Looking forward to the rest

It was a fantastic first episode.

I really think villains are the perfect place for TV shows. You get so much time to understand them and root for them.

I expect the Batman sequel film will deal with the fallout of this series. Although I hope better yet it deals with a different villain, and we can get Penguin season 2 where he rises further and picks up the scraps. Then by the (hopefully) third film we'll have a fully developed Penguin.

(Also I started a discussion thread over in https://lemmy.world/post/20196490 )

(Also also, unless something changes the legacy DCEU is over, The Batman/Penguin story being told here exists in "Elseworlds" canon, and the new DCU (James Gunn/Peter Safran) starts with Superman in 2025 and will presumably someday have a new Batman as well, different from this story.)
