Everybody will. It's the new standard connection in north america. They don't really have the choice so the sooner ther better.

Honestly not a big issue. The vast adoption of the standard is going to make it much easier to find charge points as they will always be compatible. This is a good step in the wide adoption of ev's. It was bound to happen anyway.

I keep one in my Tesla, since all the non-hotel level 2 chargers in my area are j1772

Using Ultium probably required the switch. GM isn't going to be installing one connector for their vehicles and a different connector for these Hondas. At this point everyone needs to just switch and be done with this nonsense. No reason to prolong the confusion.
