So, we're preventing Kiwis from fishing here to protect declining fish stocks, yet commercial fishing is still allowed to operate in the same area?

FFS next they'll open it for oil drilling and subsidise the oil companies doing it.

These guys just hit the jackpot. Not only can they continue to fish there, no one else can. So they will end up with larger catches.

I tried to think of a good analogy but couldn't think of any.
