Hi ! My name is TheKropicka and i have made a bit of a social experiment with the use of the Trade chat.
You see, i might be the only person that actually enjoys running Trials of Sekhema. After a day of a hardcore progress on the last boss ( I found trying to best him to be quite fun, even IF some of his abilities are quite frustrating and in my eyes poorly explained to the player) to get my 4th ascendancy, i grew to like running the place. There is a bit of money to be gained and being juiced up on the boons is neat.
Thing is, after a few runs, i figured i could try to carry some people for the hell of it. That being said, my build isnt optimal for that at all. A fight with a dude outside takes like 5 minutes for me but it bumps up the loot and i help people in the process. One thing quite stunned me however. I simply threw out the message in the trade chat that i am selling the carry for 20 ex (Which is quite underpriced due to the fact that it takes me quite some tome to down the beast).
Now comes the kicker. Without using TFT i expected people to straight up not pay after the boost. I am happy to announce, that the first 7 people i ran with all paid right after the boost was given ! This intrigued me to no end actually, so i modified the message to state exactly that i will take the payment AFTER the kill, so people would be more tempted. I even went on to loot the boxes or what not on the end, not sending the trade request at all. It even became a ritual for me that after each run, i would make a little strike on a paper next to my PC of how many people i ran with before one jumped the deal. I swear to Wilson, i have 63 lines on my tally paper. Not a single soul left before payment yet. Even without giving people the trade request, they come to me and give me the few ex i asked of them.
In my eyes, this is unique to PoE. Is there an explanation for this ?
Posted this just to brighten yalls days i guess. It warms me up knowing that people are upright... at least in this game.
