As a Brit this is easy. The response is always along lines of "good, you?". You might get away with "mus'nt grumble" if you're having a really shit day.
That's not a Brit thing though. That's basically true most places. Nobody ever actually cares. Nobody ever wants anyone to actually share. It's meaningless niceties.
