I don't have a 3D printer, but I have a wood shop, so I carved a mount for my analog adapter board + TBS Fusion to clip onto my Walksnail Goggles X strap. Works well so far!
It would have been easier to drill the holes for the side where the cords plug in before cutting out the interior. I ended up finishing the profile with a jigsaw, just going very slowly to avoid splitting off the side.
I used a scrap left over from turning a piece of birch.

I didn't like the 2 sided tape solution that comes with the official extension board and velcro seemed similarly untrustworthy. I was hoping for something I could slot on and off securely between storage and use.
What foam cushion is that? That looks comfy.

The foam is great, and fixes the light leaks I had on the sides with the stock foam. It's NewBeeDrone Max Comfort Goggle Foam for Walksnail Avatar Goggles X- Sponge.
You have to come up with an idea like that :) Have you seen the Goggle X Extension Board? How satisfied are you with the analog feed? Can you feel the slower latency?
Yes, I'm using the extension board here, it's under the TBS Fusion. It's working great, though I'm a pretty slow flyer so I might not notice a minor latency hit.
I wish the analog feed had DVR, but otherwise it's working well. And HDMI out + USB video capture card + recording on my laptop works fine since I don't record analog often.
My major gripe is that CADDX just advertised A/V in, but it won't work with the A/V out of any VRX, I tried it and got terrible flickering, and their support was totally useless in explaining what was or wasn't supposed to work. So you basically have to use the adapter board it seems.
You mention it not working with the A/V out of any VRX. I'm sorry if you've already considered it but I wonder if it has to do with framerates. Madstech videos on the goggles x showed that video in/out only worked when the goggles x display was set to run at the same framerate as the external device. I've run into this when trying to output to a tv that only supported 60FPS. I usually fly at 100FPS and had to turn it down for the output to work.
I was also frustrated by the lack of DVR for the goggles. I picked up a runcam dvr and am going to attempt to integrate it into my module setup. I'll report back with details if I can get it working. https://shop.runcam.com/runcam-mini-fpv-dvr/
That's right. The lack of recording bothers me too much. Luckily I still have an older Skyzone 03O and the Googles X. I was hoping Walksnail would deliver something more in the direction of analogue vrx. Maybe they'll bring out an AIO like HDZero.
