Since the fediverse doesn't have a distinct username length limit, it might help to put a max length and then ellipsis it

I was just looking for an option to change this in the settings but couldn't find it. I've been noticing this more and more lately. An option to set a max (display) length and use an ellipsis at the end would be really nice!
