One thing I would really love to see as a stand alone game or as an aspect within the main game itself is point to point drives on famous roads around the world.

You pick a road and can either time attack, 1v1, or maybe even plan an online community meet up where you and your buddies can do a little parade drive, or just have a nice cruise by yourself and enjoy the scenery.

Pacific Coast Hwy (sections of it),Tail of the Dragon, famous touge runs in Japan, Stelvio Pass, Grossglockner High Alpine Road, Austria, Route Napoléon (N85) France, Etc…

It’s just from one point to another, like a rally stage.
