On Anime

While Anime is a beloved animation style with a rich history and extensive following, our focus here leans towards other forms of animation. This is due to the immense popularity of Anime in online spaces, which is amply covered by other dedicated communities.

This doesn't mean that Anime related conversation is not allowed here, only that it's not our focus. For a dedicated Anime instance, check out ani.social.

On Technical Discussion

While our primary goal is to discuss animated media, conversations about animation techniques and the process of creating animation are also welcome. Whether you're a budding animator seeking to understand more about the industry, or a seasoned professional sharing your experiences, you're welcome here.

I watched Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, which I enjoyed. It's exactly what I imagine England to be like.

I also finally got around to watching Mars Express, and it was great. The animation was gorgeous. If you're into Blade Runner or Ghost in the Shell, you'll probably be into Mars Express.

Oh and I'm now watching the very short cartoon series by the same director. It's called Crisis Jung and it's sooo trippy. It can be watched in its entirety on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdHYYVU107fDsJIjVUOzqQjiBJbIGnEEB

Finished the first season of Creature Commandos. I started off not really liking the first episode but it grew on me quick. As a whole season I think it's quite good.

Not the kind of community I frequent here but saw this post in all and I actually started something this weekend.

I started watching Invader Zim again as I havent seen it for 15 years or more at this point! It is still pretty enjoyable for me and I'm looking forward to watching the rest over the next few weeks, a bit at a time :)
