It's not even that they won't manage to succeed,. They never had any intention of actually finding or eliminating waste.
That was all just a bunch of lies, told to provide cover for their actual goal, which is to destroy programs that benefit people they don't like or that inconvenience people they do like.

If you had any sort of intellectual integrity, you could answer that question yourself just by paying honest attention to who and what they most often target with their rhetoric.
But the reality is that you're not actually looking for an answer to that question - you're just hoping I'll give you something you can then use as a strawman.
Everyone has different thoughts and values, and not everyone thinks exactly like you. So I was asking what YOU thought of it, not what I or other people do.
