A place to share alternatives to popular online services that can be self-hosted without giving up privacy or locking you into a service you don't control.

Rules:

  1. Be civil: we're here to support and learn from one another. Insults won't be tolerated. Flame wars are frowned upon.

  2. No spam posting.

Paperless-GPT looks promising:

paperless-gpt seamlessly pairs with paperless-ngx to generate AI-powered document titles and tags, saving you hours of manual sorting.

Always wondered why this isn't built in, since paperless-ngx already has some nice AI features. When uploading a bulk of scanned documents, it's always a hassle to name them all something meaningful.

I was also eyeing this, but wanted to use another provider than openAI or ollama. So I'll wait until that's implemented.
