AI Summary:
Trump signs executive order to instruct Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security to expand detention facility at US naval base in Guantanamo Bay. The base is already home to migrant facility which houses Haitians and Cubans picked up at sea. It would make space for up to 30,000 migrants and signals the Pentagon's widening role in Trump's plans to crack down on illegal migration. Trump's order on K-12 schools declares federal money cannot be used on the “indoctrination” of children. It says civil rights laws barring discrimination based on sex and race would be used to enforce the order. He has appointed billionaire professional wrestling mogul Lina McMahon as his education chief. Administration officials said the notice to halt loans and grants was necessary to conduct a review to ensure that spending complies with Trump’s recent executive orders. Agencies had been directed to answer a series of yes or no questions on each federal program by 7 February.

Do the Trumpers know that they're going to be paying for this and the hundreds of millions of dollars of lawsuits the illegally fired federal civil servants are going to win? It won't be Trump who pays, it will be you, the tax payers.

Is this even lawful? The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 is supposed to prohibit federal armed service members from getting involved in civil law enforcement, except in a few narrowly defined exceptions. Running detainment camps for immigrants does not seem to fall under any of those exceptions.
