I miss this show. Amazing writing overall
I miss the super mario bros super show.
Terrible writting. Pretty sure they didn't even have a full script most days. Just show up, drunk and/or high, improvise through the lines, and somehow still be great, because it's capt lou albano, and it's super mario bros. The whole universe in the 80s was weird. It hadn't yet been turned kid friencly yet. It was basically like playing drugs: the video game, and this show encapsulated that. Hardly any oversight from Nintendo either. They just said "yeah, fuck it, do your thing with pro wrestlers and cocaine". None of that charles martinet bullshit.
Miss that show. It was terrible.
