I'm super uneducated in the matter. But from my perspective I don't see how this impacts us that hugely?

I understand this may (will) mean less Americans buying Canadian goods which in the long term can affect certain jobs and businesses. But we(Canadians) aren't tarrifing their goods. So our prices should remain the same, if not dropping do to excess, no?

A tarrif is paid by the importer then passed to consumer. So this tarrif only financially impacts Americans importing Canadian goods.

Or can someone explain it to me like I'm a child?
