I find it sublime. It communicates an entire range of feeling and meaning that a strict adherence to the rules cannot.
It's weird how the rules allow for a wide range of expression since they're just here to properly encode speech as words.

A duck would be shocked too. The animal diversity in my region is nowhere near to even only 50 years ago.
