Everyone should try disabling ALL notifications and then working their way up to understand which alerts are worth getting interrupted for. Everything you do on your phone ends up becoming more intentional and your battery life goes up too because your screen isn't constantly getting turned on from the barrage of notifications. To date, I only have 1 notification turned on and it's when my significant other messages me.

Simple fix, just don't have any friends like me! 😉

I'm pretty sure you can do that with Do Not Disturb on Android?

This is one of many reasons why I root my phone and make sure that Do Not Disturb mode actually does what it says on the tin.

That said, I still keep my old 1st Gen iPhone around because it's now just a more expensive iPod Touch and works great for playing music.

Just don’t let any of your apps have permission to send you notifications. I don’t let messages notify me. I check when I check. The only app that has permission to notify me of anything is the phone app because I’m too scared there’ll be an emergency.

I just bought a audio player, mostly because I don't have good internet at my house and files was taking up a lot of space. Plus it has Bluetooth transmit and receive.

The fact that you have to set iPhones to only vibrate and Androids to "do not disturb" to achieve uninterrupted audio playback, is why aliens make a detour around earth.
