A safe space for GSRM (Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minority) folk to discuss their lives, issues, interests, and passions. LGBT is still a popular term used to discuss gender and sexual minorities, but all GSRM are welcome beyond lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people who consent to participate in a safe space

i wasn’t joking

i’ve been having dysphoria for a while

so i want to try to present as a girl 😅

if it’s okay with you, i think im trans

oh

ok 👍

i think it’ll take me some time to get used to it but if you want to be a girl and it’ll make you happier then i don’t have any problem with that

How it should be treated when someone you know comes out like that

Hell each time one of my friends‡ has told me they were trans my response has basically been the same, "It'll take me time to get used to it, and I may fuck it up along the way. Just know when I do make a mistake it's not from a place of malice, it's from a place of habit. I'll do my best though."

‡ It's happened twice so far. My favorite was after I had known someone for about 6 months and I had forgotten their name again. I mentioned to them that I had forgotten their name again, they laughed, and they mentioned that they had fun news about that and told me they were changing their name because they were trans. Never forgot their name again. Go figure lol
