Does anyone know why lemmy.world is not showing in the list of instances at https://join-lemmy.org/instances ?

They try not to centralize. World getting very big is the opposite of what the fediverse should be.

instances get added automatically once they reach a threshold of monthly active users. iirc it's >6 mau, you could check the code to confirm.
