I am looking at KDE Plasma for a(nother) switch to Linux later this year because of its fresh support for tablets (I use a Wacom Intuos, don't own a mouse) and its apparently few sacrifices to ideology. I've been following development the last few months and it looks fantastic. My last foray into Linuxland had been Fedora 17 with Gnome shell... a lot seems to have changed since then
