I am bald, but I do this with my beard.

Yes and no. I cut my hair once a year to donate it. It's usually warm to hot year round (25-37c), with a couple months' reprieve around december. I cut my hair around January or a bit earlier depending on temperatures.
The height of summer is torture for me because of the humidity frizzing my hair. I look as if Gimli was cosplaying one of Marge's sisters.
I generally don't get haircuts before and during winter, but once it heats up again I keep it short.
yup. My hair is dark and thick, so it soaks up heat from the sun and becomes physically hot during the spring/summer. So I keep it short for half the year and then let it grow more during autumn and winter.
My hair is thick and waist length. In the summer months I have to have it tied up somehow or I overheat, much to the annoyance of people in my life who like to see it down π
Iβve considered trying natural lightening techniques (some people say lemon juice, others in my family with similar hair say it works) to lighten it to reduce the heat. Maybe this year Iβll give it a go.
One other thing Iβll say is that if youβre already hot, adding volume makes it worse as it traps warm air
I cut my hair short. The only difference in winter is that my hair is 3mm longer. And paradoxically it shows a lot.
I usually keep my hair longer in the winter here in Norway. And as work frequently takes me to hot climate such as Saudi Arabia or Texas, I tend to get a haircut beforehand.
Sorry you have to go to Texas
No. I don't think it grows quickly enough to be able to make a noticeable difference to temperature
I wear my hair long, but I get it undercut in the summer and then let the sides get saggy again staring late fall.
As someone who has shaved their head for decades, no.
