Did they go somewhere? I remember having lock screen widgets back in like 2014.

Edit: oh yeah, the article says, "bringing back a feature it had scrapped nearly a decade ago". Guess I didn't notice because I never used them.

Probably bringing them back only because iOS has them now

Something feels off with the UI, maybe the rounding or padding?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

I dislike all the empty space. Fortunately, other launchers can improve that.

Inconsistent rounding and font size is my bet

[–] gianni 4 points 3 months ago

Yeah, I think you're right—it's the padding.

I don't understand lockscreen widgets... If you want to use your phone why not unlock it?

Someone please fill in the gaps here. Lol

because i dont want others accessing my phone?

But they can access the widgets.

Pretty cool, though this seems fairly limiting: "the “glanceable hub” isn’t accessed by swiping inward from the right edge of the lock screen, as it is on tablets. Instead, it’s accessed by triggering the screen saver, that is, by placing the phone on a charger or docking it."
