British Columbia Premier David Eby says his province is "all in" on a united Team Canada approach to counter U.S. President Donald Trump's on and off tariffs on Canadians imports, including blocking or taxing electricity from his province headed south.

"I think that it's absolutely vital that the federal government work with premiers and bring us all along, if possible, but at the end of the day, we've got to send a strong message to the Americans," Eby told CTV's Question Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday.

"I'll never put another premier's resources on the table, but I can speak for British Columbia," he also said, when asked for his stance on the issue, factoring that Saskatchewan and Alberta are staunchly opposed to the idea of using energy and natural resources as a bargaining tool.

As an American, I hope Canada just tells Trump to get fucked and gives him nothing. Make us suffer. Leave absolutely no room for argument that Trump's tariffs are in any way beneficial. Come back to the table when we have a reasonable president and negotiate then.

Nobody should negotiate with donald.

I also wish the world would stop feeding his ego by using his trademark name. It's donald. His name is donald. His brand needs to die

When referring to him in the capacity of a president, using last name is pretty much the standard. It wasn't "Joe", it was "Biden". It wasn't "Barack", it was "Obama". It'd be weird to call him Donald.

That said, I'm sure it would rankle him greatly and I fully support it on those grounds alone.

As one of BC's southern neighbors, just pull the plug and make him beg. That's how you negotiate with Trump.
