Last week, Tracy and Dale McMullen sold their vacation home in Buckeye, Arizona, a property they owned for five years. The Alberta residents, who usually spend four to five months in Arizona a year, said they are not planning to come back.

“We decided to sell the property after the current POTUS took office,” said Dale, referring to U.S. President Donald Trump, who was inaugurated for the second time in January.

“It was time to leave. We felt we could not trust what he might do next to us as individuals and to our country. We no longer felt welcome nor safe.”

anti-goodness abounds

It's impossible to describe in a way that even if I read my own words in 60 days that it would convey the missed opportunity and the avoidance of goodness that people are doing over the cult behaviors and attraction to hate people are showing. And even on a good day other people would almost never turn to my expressions and writing to try and learn. Ultimately on my deathbed, this is my faith and I haven't turned away from it since December 2009 when I made my prediction of the Arab Spring and traveled to Africa and the Middle East and beyond in trying to better understand how people respond to tend changes in big waves of society (Mass mind (Howard Bloom terminology), Mass Man (Marshall McLuhan terminology)).

We have nothing to fear but fear itself (paraphrased) speech about the mass mind / group behaviors. Given our situation, today it would be "our problems are hate itself and avoiding goodness, attraction to bad" or something like that. This can't be composed, I've failed since 2009, but I'm still trying.

The attitude of the American Mass mind is that of Donald Trump. People have to see beyond reacting to that statement, there are time-shifts, it didn't all start with everybody, but now since January 2024 - it became everybody / all-inclusive.

By attitudes of Donald Trump I mean: Hate Harder, Dehumanize those you disagree with or do not understand, use systems / structures / machines / tools to dehumanize, as he does with Twitter / Truth Social / and "the news" media systems. Double down on hate, hate harder, and the problem is not hating hard enough the last time.

Go beyond the obvious: yes, conservative is anti-goodness, yes Republican party has been anti-goodness for decades, yes, MAGA movement from year 2013 onward was first in line for anti-goodness, yes Rupert Murdoch's Fox News audience was first for anti-goodness. You have to make a cut-off point. I encourage you strongly to make that cut-off point 1985 and President Ronald Reagan. That was the second term, before the fall of the Berlin Wall in Germany / Russia. Please try not to be tempted to shift to other cut-off points... because there is a method to this madness.

And do not make this about one person being stupid. Do not make this about one person being dumb, idiot, egoism / pissing contest of one single brain vs. one single brain that so often is used to "win debate" on social machine systems and HDTV Fox News methods. Please. This is about group-think, mob mentality, tend changes in big waves of society (Mass mind (Howard Bloom terminology), Mass Man (Marshall McLuhan terminology)).

Go beyond the obvious... yes 1985 which is more than a decade before Fox News went online Putin's Birthday 1996. Yes 2013 MAGA movement and the Putin Media Invasion of social media.

Idealize ourselves for a moment or longer, please. Fox News audience of year 2013. Republican political party identity of year 2013. Conservative faith, no matter how much it may seem a misunderstanding, was an identity like a religion or a club for people. Try to think of HDTV / technology of media systems and year 2013.

These were the non-nerds, people who would mock personal computer users and people with mobile phones. But the Apple iPhone changed everything in year 2007. By year 2013, even the very old people in Florida and Arizona were adopting Facebook and smartphones. But they had the LEAST education on media ecology, the had the LEAST experience with understanding Internet and computer behavior.

This is all generalization, and an attempt to focus generalization for a useful positive outcome in our future, year 2026 onward, etc. Please try to connect these Neil Postman 1985 perspectives to year 2013 perspectives.

Generalizing... conservatives / anti-progressives / Republicans / Fox News audience / what became MAGA 2013 movement and year 2013 Putin Conservative International movement, the anti-nerds, the anti-intellectuals, the "50% of people who insult and mock the educated" (except when it comes to money-making education, not comprehension education)...

These were the first to fall to the Cambridge Analytica psychiatrists and psychology discoveries. Put aside all the hate harder and baggage, and recognize these were the half of society who was least-prepared for a war of egoism from Cambridge University working with KGB / FSB Kremlin.. Go back to Neil Postman in 1985 perspective of electric news systems, television news, and see what was coming from social media systems in 2013 that Russia and Cambridge Analytica unleashed with 5,000 alternate reality screen games of artificial religions / monomyth egoism / egomania patterns.

A healthy society can not just let the weakest half of society, the bottom 50% of people who don't understand Neil Postman's 1985 "Amusing Ourselves To Death" problem of Fox News and bad religion Clergy medium / media / televangelism, who don't understand the Apple iPhone and predatory Twitter and Facebook and Reddit behaviors... was the least prepared for these 5,000 mind-fuck Cambridge Analytica alternate reality screen games that Russia unleashed.

As a society, you can't just let Russia take over the hearts and minds of 205 of of your society, let alone the bottom least-educated least-understanding 50% of your society, what is now MAGA (and don't assume all non-voters in 2024 are anti-MAGA, Russia went deep into society, including people who didn't turn up to vote)....

You can't just throw 50 percent of your population to the Kremlin mind-fuck wolves and say "fuck you", without massive consequences to the total 100 percent population. And that's what we did. When MAGA came along in 2013, when it really became something ultra-toxic and mass dehumanization social movement.... people turned away, mocked, insulted, hate harder against MAGA.

Yes, MAGA and Trumpism were the first to adopt hate harder, yes, it did start there. But ultimately in year 2025, it doesn't matter. As since January 2024 it became EVERYONE, even anti-MAGA, even those who hate Donald Trump, even those who hate RFK Jr, even those who hate Elon Musk, even those who hate everything about Newsmax, Twitter, Fox News, and Reddit - became hate harder. The entire nation may not in year 2013 have been hate harder values, but in April 2025 it is everyone preaching and messaging to machines that reproduce those messages in mass: hate harder.
