Why does every new car looks like SUV garbage?
Electric Vehicles
Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Very few people ~~don't~~ buy sedans or hot hatches. We are a vocal minority here on Lemmy. Most people don't care much about driving dynamics, efficiency and other shit that enthusiasts care about. They want more interior space, better 'road presence' (whatever the fuck that means) and higher ground clearance.
An SUV shaped car is box shaped and so it has better headroom, better legroom and looks big with bigger top body and higher ground clearance. People flock to buy it.
It is a shame because SUVs don't come anywhere close to the driving dynamics and fun that sedans or hot hatches bring. To me, a sedan looks far more elegant than SUVs ever can while hot hatches look more sporty than SUVs ever can
Unpainted plastic cladding. If it's painted in gloss black/body color it always ends up looking better. It's a small car otherwise
I meant the shape
I'm not seeing it. Looks like a slightly larger og renault 5. Side by side they're not very different
edit: apart from enormous wheels by 90s standards
we wanted it to be a modern Nissan that is immediately recognisable as a Micra
They failed imo, renault is both better looking and more recognizable as a 5
