Source: Norns (God of War Ragnarok) (by Raf Grassetti - ArtStation)

description

This was so much fun to work on, had the chance to collaborate with Dela Longfish and Bjorn Hurri on the design of the Norns for the game. We did a lot of explorations and pitches for how the scene would play out, playing with scale and the style. The idea being that they are share elements of the past, present and future of the same character and how that gets reflected on their design. This was their final design for the game.

From wikipedia:

In younger legendary sagas, such as Norna-Gests þáttr and Hrólfs saga kraka, the norns appear to have been synonymous with völvas (witches, female shamans).
