Nick Bosa has agreed to a five-year, $170 million extension with the San Francisco 49ers, including $122.5 million guaranteed, by a wide margin. It will make him the highest-paid defensive player in history.

$34m/year annual average. That's a big jump over Aaron Donald's $31.67m/year. No discounts on offer here.

No wonder the negotiations took so long, that was probably a brutal deal to structure and make work with the team's 2024 cap. Looking forward to the contract details.
