A few quotes from the article:

Bryan Danielson made a shocking announcement on last night’s Collision, sharing that he will begin finishing up his career once his six-year-old daughter turns seven.

...But the announcement is open to some interpretation. Multiple people close to the situation confirmed with Sports Illustrated that Danielson will be stepping away from wrestling full-time in the next year, yet may remain a special attraction for AEW.

So he will be the AEW version of Brock Lesnar, come in for a story or two a year and make bank. I can't say I blame him, he went from forced retirement to a couple of years of reminding us all why he's one of the best, I would accept his being a unique attraction going forward, and allegedly he's great at creative and if Tony will let him help, let him in.
