Happened to me. Realized after driving for some time I'd gotten in wrong car. Same make, model and color there to pick up someone else. The fucked up part is when they realized they just dumped me in a really shitty part of town.

Yeah I think the first 3 digits were even the same. Like these two Uber drivers had driven identical cars off the same lot one after the other.
Has this ever actually happened to anyone? I don't see how it could, the dricer confirms where you are going when you get in the car and also your name. And then the app also shows you that your trip has started.
I always check the license plate because I'm really bad at remembering car models and stuff. So far, has been working
I think I heard a story like this on This American Life. Story was from the perspective of the driver. He thought he was picking up his Grindr date and realized after a short while he was wrong. Kept up the act, even made up a whole backstory about why he was an Uber driver.
