Never rly participated when I was on reddit, but the fact that we must now participate to make lemmy a thing makes the community awesome I think and much more welcoming than on reddit and thus that's a huge incentive to post, comment and participate IMO

Good call. I’m really digging it here. I have my home instance in programming.dev with a pretty relaxed community there, and I can subscribe to even the popular stuff.
I’m gonna stick this out awhile.
I have been way more active here than i have been on other platforms. I have what like 3 comments now? So that's not saying much ha.
