This sort of thing is why you need stuff either controlled by stuff that's mechanical or doesn't have any sort of network connectivity, or alternatively stuff that's fully free and open source and you can replace the software on if they pull some bullshit.

I've got my corpo devices, but I run all my own services for a reason. Spotify can't delete songs off my subsonic compatible music server.

All this technology that offered so much convenience and efficiency is being turned into a weapon against us.

Using open source where we can helps, but often you either have no choice or the implications are not explained for you to make an informed choice
