“Looks like they’ve disabled Account Closure over at Paypal to prevent customers exiting their platform. No doubt there’ll be the usual corporate-speak on “temporary technical issue” inbound.”

PayPal has removed the ability for users to close their accounts.

That tells you how bad the situation is.

I tried to close my account and the website claims there is a pending transaction. I'll give it a couple days and try again, then I'll give it another couple days and try again because eventually there's just no explanation for it.

Canceling my subscriptions I'm sure came as part of a huge wage of cancelations that a lot of big tech companies can't swallow right now, I bet Paypal hasn't seen the end of the consequences for this.
