I love living in this state. Instead of a right wing goofball just doing stuff to bait their own constituents that are not magat extremists, this guy seeks to do something FOR people in the state. For everyone.

Even if I don’t agree with every little thing, the number of times I’ve said, “Thank goodness I live in Colorado,” has become innumerable.

Agreed. Polis is essentially Libertarian, but at least he's not a crazy ideologue. Longer term, I'd be happier to have someone more progressive, but he'll do for now.

Yep - baby steps - as long as they’re going in the right direction.

Yep, I haven't found too much that I disagree with him on. I'm very progressive, and I find most of his decisions to be great.

My sister lives in Arkansas, so I try to keep up with news affecting her and her family over there and I say that to myself all the time. I wish so bad she would move out here with me.

Yikes - yeah that’s a big divide to cross. I hope you prevail!

Yeah, it's not gonna happen. She bought a place in the mountains there and just got married and a new baby. They also have a whole farm going and everything. I hate that they live in Ark, but I'm glad they stay mostly isolated in the mountains.

Oof. Hopefully their farm tolerates climate change. Best of luck to you all.

...it's Thursday. Shutdown on Saturday? He left one friggin day to plan and implement. He's either stupid or just saying it for show.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

It says in the article that keeping parks open through a shutdown was done before. It's probably not too much work redoing the 10 year old plan.

Even if they were to close, they could still reopen them early. Colorado knows what they're doing and has done this before, like it says in the article

Could've started planning last week if he was serious. Like this would have been really easy to start a week ago.

Why not both?
