When I checked, it looks like it is still visible to the moderator account but not visible to other accounts after a post is removed. It would be helpful to have a “Removed by Moderator” tag on the post or comment that was removed to know it is no longer visible, similar to the web UI.

Well I see what you’re saying now. I made a post about these types of things needing to be visibly marked some how for mods/admins.
You're right, this is basically a symptom of no mod tools yet. I'll add a trash icon to indicate that comments/posts are deleted
